The Treasurer/Collector is an elected official with a four year term.  The County Treasurer holds a key position trust in the financial affairs of local County Government. Acting as the bank for the county, the Treasurer's office receipts, disburses, invests, and accounts for all county funds. Collection in 2016 exceeded 209 million dollars.
Tazewell County has an annual budget of 60 million dollars.  To average that out, we process over one million dollars weekly paying expenses and bills.
All funds collected and received by Tazewell County is handled by the Treasurer's office.
